CINGAL stands out as a proprietary, single-injection remedy that has been shown to be safe and effective in treating specific discomforts and symptoms associated with osteoarthritis (OA). Administered by a healthcare professional during an in-office consultation, CINGAL offers a simple solution.
CINGAL is a unique, single-injection treatment for Osteoarthritis. It combines an approved corticosteroid and high-concentration cross-linked hyaluronic acid for rapid pain relief, administered in-office by a healthcare professional. The corticosteroid reduces inflammation, providing rapid pain relief, while the hyaluronic acid component provides long-lasting relief, proven to last up to six months.
Cingal is a product that combines the long-term pain relief of a viscosupplement (hyaluronic acid) with the rapid pain relief of a corticosteroid. Its unique formula is designed to deliver the benefits of both substances in a single injection. The corticosteroid is present at a high concentration in the cingal formula , and this high concentration allows the injection to be used to quickly treat severe pain. The viscosupplement combined with the corticosteroid can be injected into the joint such as the knee and used to treat chronic pain, such as osteoarthritis. A single injection can provide relief within a week and can last up to 6 months.
The main ingredients:
Hyaluronic acid: Hyaluronic acid is a substance naturally present in the synovial fluid of the knee joint. Viscosupplementation, or injecting hyaluronic acid into the joint, is thought to lubricate the cartilage (much like oil lubricates an engine), reducing pain for long-term relief.
Corticosteroid: This powerful ingredient helps relieve pain by reducing swelling in the joint for rapid relief. It works by blocking the action of chemicals in the body that cause inflammation. For temporary relief of joint pain caused by arthritis, osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, corticosteroids are used. The corticosteroid works to reduce inflammation inside the knee joint, providing rapid pain relief in the days following the injection. Simultaneously, the hyaluronic acid component works in conjunction to provide long-lasting pain relief, supported by evidence of its effectiveness lasting up to six months.
